Description

Is this the final stage of my listings?!
Shirako Onion, a specialty of Shirako Town, Chiba Prefecture - 10kg (including box)
Variety: Sonic
Size: L-LL

After the initial shipments to direct sales and agricultural cooperatives have settled down,
I am now listing them on Mercari.

Shirako Onions! New onions cultivated in the sandy soil facing the Minami Kujukuri Beach in Chiba Prefecture!!
They are said to begin their life as new onions and end their life as new onions.
*Because they have a high water content, they are easily damaged and do not keep well.*
Regarding storage...
They are said to last for 3 months in a cool, well-ventilated place away from direct sunlight,
but this varies depending on the individual onion.

Recommended ways to eat:
○ Sliced onion salad is a must.
I believe this is why Shirako onions have become so well-known.
Of course, they are also delicious simmered, grilled, or fried,
and are versatile for any occasion.

Slice them and put them directly into a salad bowl without rinsing!
Sprinkle with bonito flakes and serve with soy sauce, ponzu, or mayonnaise!
Mix with other vegetables and use your favorite dressing!

Occasionally, you might encounter a spicy one.
I hope you enjoy it, even if you think you got a dud!

First, try sliced onions in a salad!
When you get tired of that, enjoy them in miso soup, tempura, pickles,
simmered, grilled, or pickled.

And it would be wonderful if you could stop by Shirako Town on a drive
and tour the Shirako onion farms!

We deliver the deliciousness that has been dormant for about 8 months, from sowing in September to harvesting in May.

If you have any requests, please do not hesitate
to leave a comment!
