sk amplifier, vacuum tube microphone preamplifier, Gates SA-70, painted
299.00 $
Description
This is the GATES SA-70 tube preamplifier from sk's Amps, who makes custom amplifiers.
sk's original amps are unpainted black, but since I enjoy DIY, I painted this one with milk paint in shell pink and blue-gray.
By mixing in a special liquid that prevents the paints from mixing completely, you can see a subtle marble effect if you look closely.
When painting, I removed the front panel and opened the lid, but I did not touch the wiring.
I am selling this due to equipment consolidation.
It is in perfect working order.
This preamplifier does not have phantom power, so please provide your own phantom power supply if you plan to use a condenser microphone.
Thank you for your consideration.◎
