Description
For sale is vintage 1940s/1950s Vernon Kilns Vernonware Homespun Chicken Pie Server/Small Casserole Dish. This handled server is hand-painted with a glossy finish in Homespun's multi-color plaid pattern, which was made in California from 1948-1958. It measures approximately 6.75 long. Inside diameter is just under 3.75. The server is 2 high. It is in very good vintage condition. There is a tiny mark on one side of the server (last photo). There is a rough/lightly chipped area next to one of the kiln marks on the bottom (visible in photos 6 & 7). There is a tiny chip on the handle (shown from various angles in photos 9-12). There is a bit of roughness that extends beyond the small hole on the bottom of the handle (I'm not sure how else to describe this - please see last two photos). Please carefully review all photos to judge appearance and condition for yourself.
