Description
For sale is a vintage 1940s/1950s Vernon Kilns Vernonware Homespun 14 Oval Platter. Hand-painted in Homespun's multi-color plaid pattern, which was made in California, USA, from 1948-1958. This is a sturdy piece, weighing over 2 lbs. It measures 14.25 across and just over 10 high. The platter is in very good vintage condition; there are some marks and utensil scratches from use on the platter's face - I had a hard time capturing the scratches, but please enlarge photos 6 & 7 to see the marks. There are also three small abraded/rough marks on the back that I believe are kiln marks (although I can't be sure!) - please see last 3 photos.
