Handmade pickup for double bass, wooden, lay-on type
This is a handmade pickup for the double bass.
It is designed to be placed under the bridge.
The second image shows an example of installation.
The sensor is mounted on a maple base, so I believe it is gentler on the soundboard than copper foil types. This is the real deal (lol), but the thickness of the body is greater than copper foil types, and the bridge tilts towards the 1st string. Therefore, I think you will need to adjust the left-right difference with the adjuster, otherwise it will affect the acoustic sound and playing feel.
The tone is clearer than copper foil types, but on the other hand, the gain and the feeling of the sound pushing forward are weaker. However, depending on how you use it, some people may prefer this.
It will be fixed to the tailpiece or other parts using a cable tie or an R-shaped clip.
It is new, only tested for operation, but has a handmade feel.
