Description
This is a prototype string for my handmade double bass.
This is for the G string only.
I only stretched and played it for testing, so there are no frays, but it has a handmade feel from the start.
It has a synthetic core with nylon winding.
The thickness is 2mm.
It's quite low tension, but it might feel good if your fingerboard and string height are adjusted for gut strings.
The attachment method is a loop type where you thread the string through the loop and stretch it. The upper part is standard.
This is for a 3/4 size bass.
