Bacchus 5-String Passive Jazz Bass Handmade WOODLAND Made in Japan Used Item

Bacchus 5-String Passive Jazz Bass - Handmade WOODLAND, Made in Japan - Used Item

This is a Japanese-made bass from the Handmade Series, manufactured in 2007.
The original retail price was around ¥150,000.
It features a natural lacquer finish, a light ash body, and a maple fingerboard.
The original Turbo switch has been replaced with a standard tone switch as it was not used.
All other components are original, and it has had only one owner.

The condition is player's condition with numerous scratches and dirt marks; it is not a beautiful item. It has been used in live performances and studios, so there are signs of use. Fret wear is around 60%. The neck has a slight forward bow.
The 34-inch long scale neck is very strong, and the neck adjustment has only been turned about a quarter rotation so far.
The low B string is a 145, providing good tension. The current string gauge is 145-100-80-65-45.
The 5th string is D'Addario, and the others are R.COCCO nickel strings.
The strings are due for replacement.
The string height is set slightly high.
There is some buzzing on the upper frets of the 5th and 4th strings, so if you frequently play in that range, you may want to adjust the string height.
The tone is clean and flat. The original Bacchus pickups are neutral, so if you desire more character, you might consider replacing the pickups or using an external preamp to alter the sound.
