【Direct Pickup Only】Contrabass (SUZUKI No.180 Anno1988)

This is a listing for a Nagoya Suzuki 4/4 size (domestic) double bass (No. 180).
Although manufactured in 1988, it is in excellent condition with no noticeable dents or scratches, showing no signs of age.
According to the data, only the top plate is solid (spruce), while the back and side plates are plywood (sycamore). However, the entire instrument, including the back and sides, is finished beautifully. The original retail price at the time of manufacture was 630,000 yen (tax included). It is made with carefully selected materials, and a flowing sound distinct from lower-priced Suzuki models can be expected.

The endpin socket had a crack, so it has been replaced with a wooden socket (unfinished wood, black lacquered) and a steel endpin. (The end rubber is a substitute, not the original.) Only the E string had an issue, so it has been replaced with a Belcanto orchestra string (used). The other strings are as they were when acquired.
For reasons unknown, No. 180 models in good condition seem to appear on the used market. This instrument had a slight scratch on the back plate (surface peeling) which was repaired by a workshop. (Photo 9)
It will be handed over with a separately acquired soft case (used, with some fraying and missing parts such as the shoulder strap). As I am short on cases, please entrust the included case to me. I will do my best to accommodate if possible, depending on the price range and usage of the item. If you do not need the soft case, I will offer a discount of 12,000 yen, so please let me know in advance.

Delivery by a shipping company is not possible, so it is generally set as 【Direct Pickup Only】. For pickup, please come to my residence in eastern Sakata City or a designated location in western Osaki City.
For locations within Yamagata Prefecture or nearby prefectures that are not too far (e.g., south of Akita City in Akita Prefecture, north of Sendai City in Miyagi Prefecture, north of Niigata City in Niigata Prefecture), I can deliver to a nearby designated location for the actual cost of fuel, etc. If along the Tohoku Shinkansen line, I can deliver to a Shinkansen station nearest to you for the actual travel expenses. (Even in Tokyo, pickup at Ueno Station, etc., is possible.)
Test playing is also accepted. The test playing location is the same as the pickup location: my residence in eastern Sakata City or western Osaki City. If you wish to test play in Osaki City, there will be a venue usage fee of 500 yen per person (plus an additional fee for each accompanying person).
