Oriente Contrabass

Oriente Contrabass (4-string)
Manufactured October 1989

This instrument had been stored in a music room for many years without anyone using it.
While it shows significant damage due to age-related deterioration, a craftsman has stated that it can be restored to its former glory.

Due to budget constraints, I am currently unable to afford the repair costs. However, I believe the instrument would be happy to be used by someone who can purchase it for around the cost of repairs and put it to good use. Therefore, I am listing it for sale.

We have other contrabasses, and it is unlikely this instrument will be used by anyone in our household for the foreseeable future. I would be pleased if it could be passed on to someone who will play it.

The side panels are severely damaged, and there are issues in various other areas, with estimated repair costs around ¥200,000.

The neck appears to be in good condition, and the craftsman also believes the instrument is still usable after repairs.

For delivery within the Tokyo area (perhaps up to Saitama), I can deliver it myself by car (free of charge), or you are welcome to pick it up. For other locations, please contact me to discuss arrangements.
