Japanese Katana Tsuba Iron Sword Guard Display Stand Box 4x6" Samurai
N/A
I am told this is a unique Japanese tsuba (sword guard) with display stand box. This wooden box measures approximately 4 inches by 6 inches when closed and is designed to beautifully showcase a prized tsuba. The stand folds open to display the tsuba at an angle, making it a perfect presentation piece for any Japanese sword enthusiast or collector of samurai artifacts. Included is a tsuba, which measures approximately 3.25 inches by 3.25 inches. This tsuba features an ornate, classic design with intricate openwork, showcasing the craftsmanship typical of Japanese sword fittings. The design appears to be a traditional mokko-gata (quatrefoil) shape with decorative elements. The tsuba has a rich, dark patina consistent with age and use, adding to its character. This set is ideal for collectors of Japanese militaria, samurai swords, katana parts, or those seeking a unique decorative item. It would make an excellent addition to any collection of Edo period artifacts or as a standalone display piece. Please Note: I am not an expert in Japanese sword fittings or antiques. This was inherited from my father. I have described the item to the best of my ability based on visual inspection and what was told to me. I have no knowledge of the items age, history, use or value.
