Early Model

This product is for those who are bothered by the yellowed appearance of older consoles. Retro-bright (bleaching) has been performed to remove as much yellowing as possible. I personally dislike yellowing and decided to list this product for others who share the same concern.

While the price may be slightly higher than others, please understand that we have invested time and cost into improving the condition through cleaning, bleaching (which is the most costly), and component replacement (capacitors, fuses, plating).

The cartridge reading slot is removed from the board, and each terminal is individually removed and wiped with anhydrous ethanol. The slot's old plating and rust are removed, re-plated, and each terminal is carefully inserted back into the slot and reattached to the board. This process is very labor-intensive. (Photo 3)

Capacitors are consumables. Over time, some may leak. Leaks can cause the screen to darken or roll up and down. Replacing the capacitors will fix this. This can happen with any Super Famicom, so choosing a console with replaced capacitors will ensure longevity.
The board is washed entirely with alkaline detergent, dried, and after capacitor replacement, it is wiped with flux cleaner and coated with a rust inhibitor.
