Description
Vintage figural salt and pepper shaker set made in Japan, a cute pair modeled as little pitchers or jugs with loop handles, glazed in a soft pastel aqua with pink and blue banded stripes. Marked with a hand inked S and P, with a Japan foil label on the base, and both original cork stoppers are present. Each shaker is about 2 to 2.25 inches. Pre-owned in good vintage condition with glossy intact glaze. Please note the corks are aged and compressed and there is some glaze roughness around one base rim, typical of hand finished Japanese pottery. A charming mid century kitchen collectible. Sold as the pair shown.
