Vintage Western Stoneware 9" Brown Beehive Ribbed Mixing Bowl Maple Leaf Mark
Western Stoneware, Monmouth
Authentic vintage stoneware mixing bowl produced by the Western Stoneware Company (Monmouth, Illinois). This classic piece features the highly collectible chocolate brown glazed interior and exterior with a contrasting cream/tan upper rim and distinctive horizontal beehive ridges. The bottom features the crisp, molded maple leaf maker's mark, dating this piece to the mid-20th century (circa 1930s-1950s). Top Rim Diameter: 9 ¼'' Height: 4 ½'' Condition: This bowl is in exceptional vintage condition. There are no chips or cracks noted. The stoneware retains a beautiful, glossy shine. Note on Factory Characteristic: There is a smooth, prominent factory glaze miss or glaze skip located on the upper exterior rim (clearly pictured in the photos). Because this area is perfectly smooth and occurred during the manufacturing process before firing, it is not considered damage and does not affect the structural integrity of the bowl. Please review all photos carefully as they serve as the primary visual description of the item's condition. Packaged with care and shipped quickly
