Pair of genuine vintage Nuutajarvi Notsjo Kartio mugs, designed by Finnish glass designer Kaj Franck, made in Finland 1954-1967. A well documented, collected line of Scandinavian mid century glass. Rich turquoise/teal hand blown glass with the signature clean, minimalist Kartio silhouette and applied C handle. Bases show pontil marks consistent with genuine mouth blown production. Kaj Franck is one of the most significant names in Finnish glass design history, and Nuutajarvi pieces from this era are sought after by mid century and Scandinavian collectors. Turquoise is scarcer than the common amber tone, making this pair a great find for someone building a color set. Sold as a pair, ready to display or use daily.
