Retro "TV Game Jack" sold in the late 1980s

US Size:

This is a peripheral device called TV Game Jack (manufactured by Nihon Direct Co., Ltd., model number ND10010) that was sold in the late 1980s.

Product Overview and Features
This product is an RF booster (signal amplifier) that easily connects home game consoles of the time, such as the Family Computer (Famicom), to a television.

Main Function: Normally, connecting a Famicom to a TV required the hassle of connecting to the antenna cable via a component called an RF switch. This device was marketed for its convenience, allowing for one-touch easy connection to the TV.

Catchphrase: The packaging states, With this, you can take your TV game anywhere!!

New Release Text: A distinctive feature is the large New Release text printed on the packaging itself. This has become a talking point among retro game fans as a unique (or perhaps suspicious) design that makes it look like a new release even after considerable time has passed since its launch.

Original Price: As indicated on the packaging, the selling price at the time was 3,000 yen.

Today, it is considered a retro item that tells the story of the gaming landscape of the time, rather than being used for practical purposes.
