Vintage 1950s Dilly Brown Straw Wide Brim Cartwheel Sun Hat Trimmed w/Flowers

**It's possible this logo belongs to Lilly's Dilly's, a whimsical secondary line of hats created by the legendary mid-century French-American fashion designer and milliner Lilly Daché  This gorgeous vintage sunhat probably dates to the late 1950's/early 1960's and is constructed from a very sturdy dark brown woven straw or raffia and features a tall rounded crown and dramatic wide brim that gently dips down at the edges to beautifully frame the face. The base of crown is embellished with large fabric flowers in dusty rose, mauve and charcoal gray tones.  Practically spotless interior has gathered satin crown lining with ribbed grosgrain sweatband and label is marked DILLY with a dolphin above.   Probably originating from the history mid-century resort wear fashion scene of Miami Beach!  Excellent vintage condition.  The woven straw is sturdy and holds it's shape beautifully, flowers are full and show minimal dust/fading consistent with age and the interior lining and sweatband are remarkably clean!  Measures: 22 around interior sweatband - crown: 5 - brim: 6 wide
