G. PASSIER & SOHN / Hubertus Schmidt
Passier Hubertus Schmidt Dressage Saddle, size 16.5.
Color: Black.
Original Price: Approximately ¥600,000
This is a top-of-the-line model, a collaboration between Passier and professional dressage rider Hubertus Schmidt. Made with high-quality leather, it's an ideal partner not only for intermediate to advanced riders but also for beginners and novice riders looking to improve quickly.
The thigh support keeps the rider's legs in the correct position, and the soft, deep seat allows for a comfortable ride and precise control. It was used by a trainer, so it's been broken in for ease of riding.
I've used Optima and several other saddles, but this one was the most comfortable. I rotated between 2-3 saddles, so this one was actually used for about 250 rides and is in good, clean condition.
However, the saddle rack at my new club has high humidity, and mold quickly developed. I immediately treated it with a mold prevention cleaner, but there are some slight indentations on the outside flap. I've taken as many photos as possible to show the condition, so please check the photos.
*The saddle has been moved to a humidity-controlled area in my home.
Stubben Stirrup Leathers
Width: 3 cm / Length: 135 cm
Original Price: Approximately ¥15,000
These have a woven fabric inside to prevent stretching. I chose these from many stirrup leathers for their ease of use. There are some scuffs. They are not single-layer.
If needed, I will also include a thick, glossy Eskadron saddle cover (brown). It shows signs of use but will help you stand out.
- There is a gold plate on the back of the saddle; it will need to be removed if not needed.
