1950s/60s Swank Gold Tone Cello/Violin Tie Tac/Lapel Pin In Great Condition. This great looking tie tack/lapel pin measures a little over an inch. This decorative pin features a miniature stringed instrument, most closely resembling an upright bass, cello, or violin. The chain and T-bar mechanism serves a functional purpose: The pin part goes through the fabric of the tie or lapel. The T-bar is designed to be inserted through a buttonhole on the shirt or jacket, on the inside, which secures the entire assembly. The chain connects the T-bar (attached to the shirt) to the pin backing (attached to the tie), ensuring the tie stays in place and doesn't flap around. A Great Vintage Pin For The Collector.
