Unused item, but shows signs of age-related deterioration. MOZA Mini MX Stabilizer

Smartphone gimbal purchased new several years ago, but was left in a corner of the room due to not knowing how to use it. MOZA miniMX stabilizer, gray, with storage bag. It has signs of use even though it has never been used. It is thought to have become dirty and faded without my knowledge as it was not stored properly. Can this be used without downloading an app? If it doesn't sell, I plan to research how to use it and try it out, so I may suddenly delete the listing. Thank you for your understanding.
