I acquired this item when I was collecting horse racing memorabilia. I don't believe there are any major scratches, but as it was displayed in my tokonoma (alcove), there are some stains due to age-related deterioration. I tested the clock, and it seems to run a little slow. If you plan to use it as a clock, please consider repairing or replacing it.

Silence Suzuka was a tragic champion horse who, ridden by jockey Katsumi Minai, won the Takarazuka Kinen. Later, during the autumn Tenno Sho, he pulled away from the field by nearly 10 lengths before the third corner with an overwhelming lead, and just as victory seemed certain, he fractured his left foreleg and was euthanized.

He is also popular in the currently trending anime Uma Musume.

Please consider purchasing this item.
