Dooney and Bourke Rainbow Tassel Satchel  The Dooney & Bourke Y2K Rainbow It Bag (c. 2003–2006) was a vibrant, multi-color monogrammed coated canvas line featuring interlocking DB logos. Popularized as an affordable alternative to high-end luxury, it featured vachetta leather trim, heart-shaped fobs, and bright interiors. Shoulder strap not included.  12” X 7” X 5” 4.5” Strap drop   Key History & Details: Origin: Devised by Peter Dooney in March 2003 following a trip to Europe with FIT students. The It Factor: The collection was designed to mimic the, at the time, new and popular Louis Vuitton Monogram Multicolore. Controversy & Success: The line sparked a four-year trademark battle with Louis Vuitton, which Dooney & Bourke won in 2007. The bags generated over $100 million in sales. Design Characteristics: Common features included coated canvas in white or black with multicolor DB logos, vachetta leather trim, and, on some models, rainbow-colored zipper hardware. Significance: It is considered a quintessential Y2K accessory, often associated with nostalgia from the mid-2000s.   External plastic coating has been removed due to lifting and yellowing. Bag shows some aging and mild discoloration but in good shape for its age, see pics. Any flaws are depicted. Bag has been professionally cleaned and sanitized.  INV3-7
