Description
Vintage silver-plated wire bread / fruit basket with a square footprint, fan-pattern wire sides, and a twisted silver rope trim around the rim. Open wire construction lets bread breathe and shows off fruit beautifully. Hand-finished feel- super fun retro item! Silver-plated wire baskets came out of the 1950s-70s European export market, with major makers like Calegaro, Ricci, and MP of Italy supplying American department stores. The square form is less common than the standard oval, which makes it more interesting on a table.
