Vintage Mid-Century Chinese Woven Bamboo Wedding / Betrothal Basket Handmade

Vintage Chinese wedding basket hand-crafted from natural split bamboo and rattan. The basket is structurally sound and built to last, featuring a solid wood slab base and a heavy-gauge reinforcing metal wire woven directly into the upper rim to maintain its rigid form. Very good vintage condition. The structural bamboo weaving remains tight and intact with no major breaks or unravelling. The dyed panels and wood base show an aged patina with minor surface scuffs consistent with age. The solid wood base has a natural hairline grain separation (does not impact stability or go all the way through). There is a bead of silicone around wooden base.
