Vintage Myron Panteah Sterling Native American Bear & Feather Pendant + 24"Chain
* Pendant from Myron Panteah (1966–2016): Zuni/Navajo master silversmith. Born in Zuni, NM, 3rd-generation jeweler learned from his father (Wayne Panteah) & grandmother. Brother of Alex Sanchez. * Trained under Hopi jeweler Duane Maktima at Pueblo V Design Institute. * Early on, he focused on traditional Zuni stone inlay. After a severe right-hand injury limited his ability to hold small stones, he switched entirely to metalwork, becoming famous for fluid hand-sawed cutouts, overlay, and storytelling imagery. His signed pieces are finite and highly collectible. * Stylized spiritual bear silhouette with 3 hand-sawed, textured dangling feathers and black onyx beads. * Authentic Native American. * Hand-stamped STERLING, Myron Panteah's script signature, and iconic walking bear hallmark. * Each of the 3 dangling feathers is stamped STERLING and Myron Panteah on the reverse. * Rare vintage sterling silver 7-sided (heptagonal) snake chain stamped PAOLO ROMEO / 925 ITALY on the clasp tag. * 17.85g total weight (with chain). * Pendant is ~3.5 long from top of bail to bottom of middle feather. * 24 chain. * Excellent vintage condition. Beautiful, unpolished patina emphasizes deep shadows of the intricate hand-cut lines. Look at all pictures for full condition details. We are a pet-free/smoke-free household.
