Backun; Mouthpiece H2, Barrel (64mm) & Bois Ligature
Thank you for looking! (^.^)
This is a set of 3 items for B♭ clarinet:
① Backun Mouthpiece
Vocalise H2
② Backun Barrel (64mm)
③ Bois Ligature
This combination, in my personal opinion, produces a very dark tone across all registers. The resistance when transitioning from La to Si in slow notes becomes uniform. I believe the dynamic range is also quite wide. All items have been used only a few times. The cap shows signs of use.
Please judge from the photos. Thank you. (._.)

● Backun Mouthpiece Vocalise
The Vocalise mouthpiece was jointly developed and completed by Richard Hawkins and Backun.
H Model for B♭ Clarinet
Opening Size: Open
Facing Size: Long
The H model, with the longest facing in the series, offers sufficient cushion for those seeking greater flexibility while enabling a smooth and dark tone in all registers. This mouthpiece requires an unyielding passion for performance and balanced breath support, but it rewards the effort with excellent resonance.
Price: ¥25,850
● Backun Barrel
Similar to its full-bodied appearance, this excellent barrel offers a rich sound and moderate resistance. By intentionally omitting rings, it conveys the player's musical expression more directly.
Grenadilla
64mm (Universal type for Buffet, Yamaha, etc.)
Price: ¥29,150
● Bois Ligature
A unique ligature design that liberates clarinet and saxophone players from previous problems.
No longer will adjusting the reed position with screws weaken the sound.
There is no variation in tone quality. Replacing reeds does not take time.
This technology features minimal contact points to optimize reed vibration.
The surface-to-surface contact between the ligature and the reed is only 0.085 inches.
This allows for a freer blowing feel and a more open tone.
It attaches to the mouthpiece in seconds, is highly durable, and rarely breaks (ideal for beginners).
Currently discontinued
List Price: Over ¥10,000
