I purchased this for a photoshoot. Upon arrival, I noticed a slight smell, possibly from the hand-dyeing process as it's made in China, but it didn't cause any issues for photography. When using strobe lighting, the photos came out bright. It's just barely possible to capture a full-body shot, but in that case, it feels a bit lacking in depth. Half-body and bust shots can be taken without issue.
For full-body shots, I purchased another piece of the same fabric and laid one on the floor for shooting.
I think the portability of it being a fabric is a good point.
