【Excellent Condition】Oboe Yamaha YOB-431M duet+
Product Description
I purchased this item on Mercari last month, but unfortunately, I can't seem to produce professional-level sound with it. I would like to sell it at an even lower price to someone who will cherish it, and I will include a Legere reed.
Below is the description from the previous owner.
Thank you for your consideration.
It has been carefully maintained and is sparkling clean.
YAMAHA YOB-431M Duet+ (List price: ¥517,000)
https://jp.yamaha.com/products/musical_instruments/winds/oboes/yob-431m_432m/index.html
*Includes case and instruction manual.
*Includes a Legere synthetic reed, Classic European Scrape MS (¥24,200, almost unused), 3 trial reeds, and a reed case.
The duet+ is a model with a resin coating on the inside of the YOB-431. It significantly reduces the risk of the body cracking and is a popular model that is resistant to changes in temperature and humidity, making it easy to handle.
Condition
Used approximately once a week for about 3 years.
All pads and joint corks are in good condition.
As you can see in the photos, there is almost no plating peeling, rust, or cracks in the body, and it is as beautiful as new. It has not been repaired.
The last adjustment was made one year ago by a repairman who is an oboe player at a musical instrument store. I also received a free inspection before selling the instrument. It has not been used heavily like a student's instrument, so there is less wear and tear, and I believe it is an instrument that can be used for a long time.
Stored at home, no pets or smoking history.
Yamaha's strength is its good intonation, and this instrument has particularly stable and easy-to-play intonation in the upper register. I think it is easier to handle than a Marigaux.
I have used this instrument in concerts and wind ensemble competitions.
While used instruments are often thought of as deteriorated, I believe used instruments are a viable option, especially for musical instruments. Many professional players also recommend used instruments. An instrument with balanced intonation and that has been played in is more responsive from the first note, so I recommend it.
How about this for someone returning to playing or for a child just starting the oboe?
*As you know, instrument prices continue to rise. Yamaha's duet+ is particularly popular, and the used market is also trending upwards.
*No returns accepted. Please rest assured that it has been inspected and has no defects.
