This piece was handmade by Mary Alice in June 1997, as indicated by the handwritten signature and date on the bottom. The natural tan fibers show a beautiful texture with a traditional over-under weave pattern. It currently holds holiday napkins, demonstrating its perfect size for standard square napkins or small guest towels. The construction is sturdy with no broken splints or loose weaving observed.
