For nao. - 2 completed bassoon reeds (Neuranter・Danzi)
Thank you for looking.
This is a listing for 2 finished bassoon reeds.
- Reed Dimensions:
Blade: Approx. 28mm
Tube: Approx. 30mm
Total Length: Approx. 58mm
Shaper used: Rigotti No. 1a (tip width 15.50mm)
*Rigotti No. 1a is a classic shaper that combines a focused tone with a rich sound.
- Materials:
1. Neuranter (France) (Material origin: France)
Produces a slightly bright, flexible tone with good vibration.
2. Danzi (Italy) (Material origin: Southern France)
Has a firm texture, producing a bright and powerful tone.
The cane hardness is selected and used from 13-18 on the Reeds'n Stuff hardness gauge (medium-hard to medium-soft).
To minimize changes after finishing, the reeds are aged for approximately 2 months from assembly to completion.
During the finishing process, the reeds are scraped to ensure clear articulation at the p dynamic and a balanced range from low to high notes, capable of playing from p to f.
The reeds are finished to maintain a firm tone even when playing at f, making them suitable for:
- Players who prefer a slightly more resistant reed
- Players with larger lung capacity
- Players who enjoy reeds with resistance
Therefore, these reeds are primarily recommended for intermediate to advanced players.
*Listed as Near Mint because the reeds have been play-tested during the finishing process.
