[How to Use the Bear Deterrent]
- Prepare the firecracker: Set the firecracker so that its fuse protrudes from the tip of the tube, then ignite and use it. Use one firecracker at a time.

Because the bear deterrent has a tubular structure, the sound is amplified compared to using a firecracker alone, effectively projecting sound around the user and in their direction of travel.
While it can be used when entering the mountains, it is also intended to be used periodically as you proceed to alert bears and avoid unexpected encounters.
