Vintage Japanese porcelain ginger jar with lid, made for Heygill Imports. Creamy white ground with rich cobalt blue and white peonies and a detailed peacock, highlighted with gold accents and bands around the shoulder and base. The lid has matching floral decoration and a gold painted finial. Underside retains both the red Heygill Imports sticker and blue Made in Japan sticker, along with hand painted blue characters. Height (with lid): 10 in; Width at widest point: 5 in;. Condition is excellent with no chips, cracks, or repairs noted. Gold trim and decoration bright with only very light wear from age/display.
