The Gitzo GM4552L Series 4 Monopod is a 5-section carbon fiber monopod. It is the tallest model in the series and is designed to be lightweight while providing a secure, low-angle perspective, particularly effective for shooting over crowds or fences. The GM4552L features larger tube diameters (37.0mm top leg diameter) and high-stiffness Carbon eXact tubing, ensuring excellent stability even when extended to its maximum height of 190cm, while minimizing weight for a professional solution. It boasts a maximum load capacity of 35kg and weighs just 730g. Gitzo's G-Lock Ultra system enhances tube strength by securely connecting the leg sections and protects the joints from moisture and dirt. The monopod is equipped with a convenient 1/4-3/8 reversible mounting screw, allowing for the attachment of various types of cameras, lenses, and heads. When folded, it measures just 56cm, making it easy to pack in a backpack or attach to a strap for day trips or overnight hikes. The GM4552L base features an innovative 50mm rubber foot with a swivel ball joint for smooth movements, ideal for capturing moving subjects. It can also be removed if needed and replaced with optional feet or metal spikes. Additionally, it features Gitzo's signature ergonomic textured handgrip and a removable wrist strap for added security, allowing photographers to attach the monopod to their belt or clothing for freedom of movement. The Series 4 GM4552L is the successor to the Series 3 GM3551.
