The Devil Wears Prada ('06 US)
Meryl Streep / Anne Hathaway / David Frankel
Andy, who has just graduated from university and moved to NY aiming to become a journalist, lands a job that women all over the world would die for! She becomes the assistant to Miranda Priestly, the charismatic editor-in-chief of the top fashion magazine RUNWAY.
However, this is a terrifying position that has claimed many victims before! Miranda's demands are devilishly high-level. With her phone ringing non-stop from morning to night and a barrage of tyrannical orders, coupled with harsh criticism like Zero sense!!, Andy realizes that this industry cannot be conquered by effort and motivation alone.
Even for the sake of her career, her personal life is in shambles. She can't celebrate her boyfriend's birthday and her friends are fed up with her. Is this okay? What do I really want to do?
