This rare piece is not only fully hallmarked WEDGWOOD AND MADE IN beneath it, and ENGLAND beneath that, but it is also marked 1759-1984. This means that it was produced in 1984 and was a commemorative mark used by the company to celebrate its 225th anniversary. This mark does not indicate that the piece was made at some point between those years, but specifically dates its manufacture to the anniversary year, 1984.
