Vintage Ingraham Travel Alarm Clock Red Leather Case Folding Japan Luminous

Vintage Ingraham 'Luminous' travel alarm clock with a bright red leather clamshell folding case, brass hinge and trim, white face with mint-green Arabic numerals and hands. Made in Japan. Folds flat for travel, opens to stand upright on any nightstand.  Ingraham was founded in Bristol, Connecticut in 1831 and became one of America's oldest clockmakers, later diversifying into inexpensive travel clocks produced in Japan for the American market in the 1950s and 60s. The red leather clamshell travel case is the classic mid-century business-trip look.
