This is a Sanada-himo flat braid (plain weave) woven by artisans at Oritomo Sumiya, a long-established workshop in Kanazawa. The width is 3 bu (9mm / 0.9cm) and each piece is 1.5m long. We have selected traditional colors that embody the spirit of Japan.

A set of five is available for ¥1100.
We can also accommodate requests for custom lengths or specific quantities. Please feel free to leave a comment!

Skilled artisans meticulously weave each thread of cotton, dyed using traditional methods, resulting in a uniform finish and a softer texture than before. These are perfect for use as obi ties, for making Warachis, straps, or as materials for handmade crafts.

*This product is a flat braid Sanada-himo. Please note that it differs from the tubular braid Sanada-himo (tube weave) used for sword scabbard cords.
