Selmer 80Ⅱ Early Model Alto Saxophone with Case, Serial Number 390000s, Rare
Price reduced for Golden Week.
Price negotiation is accepted, but please do so directly in the comment section.
(Requests for price reduction will be ignored.)
This is a Selmer 80 SUPER ACTION SERIE II alto saxophone with engraving and case.
I purchased it a while ago at a used instrument specialty store in Shin-Okubo, but I'm selling it because I switched to tenor saxophone and no longer use it.
The serial number is 39xxxx, manufactured around 1986 (as stated on the Nonaka Boeki website), making it a rare early model of the 80 II.
The 80 II has undergone minor changes through its early, mid, and late production periods. The early models are distinct from the later models, which are more common and have a brighter tone. This early model offers a comfortable, rich sound with a pleasant resistance.
(This is my personal opinion, but there are comparison videos uploaded by others on YouTube.)
Please consider that it may require adjustment.
The instrument has aged nicely overall, with no noticeable rust, major scratches, or dents. (There may be some overlooked imperfections.)
The neck is the one that came with it when I purchased it. It's possible the previous owner swapped it with another neck, but this is uncertain.
A new SELMER alto saxophone sells for ¥878,900 (tax included).
Purchasing a used instrument and having it adjusted is a more cost-effective option, especially considering the tone.
This is an older model with limited availability, so please only purchase if you understand this.
(The case has no key and shows its age. Please consider it a bonus.)
We do not sell parts separately.
Furthermore, to prevent fraud, we cannot accept returns, refunds, or complaints regarding adjustments or differences in playing feel after purchase.
We will also reuse packing materials for shipping.
Thank you for your understanding.
