Leica M8 Silver, 13139 Shots, With Sample Photos

Purchased in 2019 as a used item in beautiful condition with recent servicing.

Since purchase, it has been stored in a dehumidified cabinet set to 45% humidity and used about once a month. Even during periods of non-use, I take it out of the dehumidified cabinet monthly and shoot about 5-6 photos.

Condition:

The LCD screen was used without a protective film, so there are scuffs on the surface.

The exterior shows minor scuffs from daily use.

Regarding the leatherette on the back, there is some lifting and peeling around the LCD.

Regarding operation, there is a symptom commonly reported with the M8 where the monitor is unusable immediately after startup and becomes usable after half-pressing the shutter button once. This is likely due to older firmware, but it is unknown if updating to the latest version would resolve it. It did not interfere with my usage habits, so I continued to use it as is. This symptom was present from the time of purchase and is reportedly common with the M8. It does not affect shooting.

The original box and accessories were included at the time of purchase, but they were lost during a move last year.

Included Accessories:

Genuine Battery x1
Charger (purchased around July 2025) x1
Strap x1

I am considering purchasing a new Hasselblad product and also own multiple M8.2 and M9 cameras, so I am selling this as part of a collection consolidation.

As this is a high-value used item, returns and refunds will not be accepted to prevent fraud. Please only purchase if you understand that this is a used item.

While some details may be difficult to see in the photos, this is an item with overall signs of use, so please refrain from purchasing if you are concerned about minor details.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask, and I will answer to the best of my knowledge.

I also plan to list an M8.2 and an M9 with replaced CCD glass (around March of this year) by the end of the year, so please follow me if you are interested.

Thank you for viewing until the end.
