Antique Victorian Pair of Matching Natural Mediterranean Red Coral Oval Cameos  ​This exceptional matching pair of loose antique Mediterranean red coral cameos showcases beautifully detailed, hand-carved classical left-facing female profiles. Carved from genuine, untreated precious coral, they display a rich, vibrant salmon-red to deep orange-red color tone with a smooth, glossy polish across the high-relief figures. The flat backs show the subtle natural graining and faint growth lines characteristic of authentic marine coral.  Measures by about 11.1 mm, by 7.9 by 4.8.  ​ ​Dating to the late Victorian or early Edwardian era (circa 1880–1910), these mini cameos were traditionally hand-sculpted by master Italian carvers in Torre del Greco, the historic capital of coral carving.
