Erphila Bavaria Pansy Dish Hand Painted Celadon Green Porcelain Ring Dish 1920s
Bavaria
Soft green, hand painted, and just the right size for the things you want to keep close. This antique porcelain dish is marked RM Bavaria and Erphila Handpainted on the reverse — a combination that tells you exactly what you have. RM Bavaria was a respected German porcelain manufacturer and Erphila was an American importer known for bringing quality European porcelain to the US market from roughly 1910 through the 1930s. The hand painted designation is exactly that — each piece was individually decorated, not mechanically printed. The celadon green ground is fresh and bright, the gold rim is intact, and the central floral medallion — a purple pansy flanked by two red daisies on a cream oval with delicate vine framing — is vivid and precise. Measures 5.5 diameter. Scalloped edge with four subtle tab details. Condition: Excellent antique — no chips, no crazing, no damage. Perfect as a ring dish, jewelry catch-all, or standalone vanity display.
