Kasagen Gion Kyoto - Traditional Japanese Umbrella (Janome Habae)

I purchased this beautiful umbrella about 10 years ago from Kasa-Gen in Kyoto. It's a wonderful piece that makes rainy days enjoyable.

Length (umbrella): 60cm
(Including handle): Approximately 80cm
(Fully open): 95cm

Overall, it's in very good condition, but some of the internal threads are fraying (see photo 7), although this doesn't currently affect its use. It might be a good idea to have it looked at by a professional during maintenance.

The outer threads of the umbrella are also frayed in places (photo 10).

The umbrella opens in two stages (photo 8). In the first stage (photos 1 and 2), some thread fraying is visible (photos 16 and 17). However, when fully opened to the second stage, the umbrella is taut, and the fraying is not visible (photo 9).

There are no other tears, and the umbrella is in very good condition.

I've also included a photo of the Kasa-Gen bag. It's in poor condition, but I will include it with the umbrella (photo 19). If you don't need the bag, please let me know in the comments section when you purchase the umbrella.
