🌙Vintage Italian Sorrento Marquetry Music Box Burlwood COMPLETE W/ KEY Plays

✨ RARE FIND: 100% COMPLETE VINTAGE ITALIAN MUSIC BOX ✨ Up for resale is an absolutely gorgeous vintage Italian Sorrento Marquetry musical jewelry box, dating from the 1960s/1970s. This piece is a spectacular example of traditional European old-world craftsmanship, blending fine art with mechanical utility. What makes this specific piece an absolute treasure is its condition: it is 100% complete, featuring both its bottom winding key AND its original, often-lost vintage front skeleton key! The Details: Craftsmanship: The lid features an incredibly intricate, hand-laid marquetry floral inlay. The body is crafted from a stunning, highly figured blonde burlwood with gorgeous natural knots and a mirror-like high-gloss lacquer finish. The Music: Features a vintage Japanese Sankyo mechanical movement that winds smoothly and plays beautifully and clearly. It plays the mid-century standard classic, Isle of Capri (original song label is intact on the bottom). How It Works: When wound from the bottom, the music automatically plays when you open the lid and stops when closed, thanks to the internal pin-stop mechanism. Interior: Lined in a rich, clean burgundy red velvet with a raised partition to keep rings or small keepsakes safe.
