Description
Vintage Dalecraft cast iron wall match holder featuring colorful Pennsylvania Dutch style folk art decoration. The textured area beneath the top compartment resembles a striker, however it does not currently ignite modern matches and is best considered decorative. Originally designed to hang near a stove or fireplace, these match safes are now popular decorative pieces in farmhouse, primitive, and country kitchens. Details • Maker: Dalecraft • Material: Cast iron • Style: Pennsylvania Dutch folk art • Two match compartments • Built-in striker surface • Wall mount keyhole on back * Matches are not included Condition Good vintage condition with light wear and patina consistent with age.
