This is a stole dyed using the Chusen technique by Nigel Cabourn.

This exquisite piece is a STOLE crafted with pride in Japan, focusing on products created by artisans who possess world-class skills.
The Chusen technique used for this STOLE is a traditional method passed down since the early Meiji period. It originated from tenugui (hand towels), which were originally everyday necessities. Over time, these items have evolved into fashion, and after World War II, the rapid development of the technique led to its widespread popularity among the general public, continuing to this day.
This STOLE was created with this history in mind. We paid particular attention to achieving a soft and comfortable texture, reminiscent of tenugui. To achieve this, we used a material blend of 70% COTTON and 30% HEMP, with a gauze weave.
