Sheaffer
vintage Sheaffer mechanical pencil. Red & chrome. Works great
Vintage Sheaffer mechanical pencil. Red & chrome. Works great. You twist for the lead to come out. It does still have lead in it (not sure how much). The eraser isn't in the best shape & should probably be replaced, but otherwise it's in great condition. I believe its a .9mm lead but not certain as it doesn't say on the pencil. vintage Sheaffer Mechanical Pencil. It features a chrome upper cap with an integrated pocket clip and an exposed eraser assembly at the top. The lower section has a colored resin barrel (visible in red on the right). Restoring & Using the Pencil * Eraser Replacement: The original rubber eraser has dried out and oxidized over time. You can slide out the small metal cup holding the eraser to replace it with a modern standard mechanical pencil eraser or a vintage-style Sheaffer replacement. * Refilling the Lead: This vintage twist-action model typically feeds lead through the tip. Gently twist the chrome cap or tip to retract the internal mechanism, then push a new piece of lead directly into the point. Most vintage Sheaffer models from this era utilize either 0.9mm or 1.1mm (0.046 inch) lead.
