Description
Vintage Handmade Handtied Baby Quilt. Made by process called Redwork which is simply using red thread on a white background. Its a classic American style popular since the late 19th century. Favored because red dyes were among the most affordable and colorfast options that were passed down through the generations. Tying is a traditional, faster alternative to handle quilting long patterns often used for heavier quilts to provide a cozy, utility feel. Measures approximately 45x39 inches. Showcases the popular Disney characters as babies including Mickey & Minnie, Donald & Daisy and Goofy. Sweet piece of Appalachian history blanket does show signs of wear. #399
