Shigure Geta (Rain Geta) for Women - No Straps

This is a pair of Shigure Geta (rain geta) for women.
They are also called Ame Geta because they can be worn even on rainy days. The long teeth help prevent water from splashing up.
The sole is equipped with black rubber.
This is a finishing technique called Hakeme, where even vertical lines are applied to the surface.
The base is made of paulownia wood, making it very lightweight.

Length: approximately 23.4 cm (9.2 inches)
Width: approximately 8 cm (3.1 inches)
Height of the geta, including the rubber sole: approximately 5.7 cm (2.2 inches)

⚠️ The hole for inserting the strap is closed, but looking at the surface, the part of the base where the hole would be made is thinner. It is easy to make a hole, but since the base is vintage, it is very difficult for an amateur to make a clean hole. Please handle with care after purchase, such as having it done at a local shoe store.

Regarding the product description, these were items from when my grandfather ran a wholesale geta and footwear business in Shizuoka.
These are completely unused items that have been stored in a warehouse. As the base is vintage from several decades ago, there is a possibility of undetected deterioration due to age. Please be aware if you are looking for items in new condition. We have posted multiple photos, so please take a look.
