  These dip pen nibs are popular for penmanship practice and manga drawing.
  These are orthodox nibs for penmanship, favored by many penmanship enthusiasts.
  Many teachers use these nibs for writing Kanji in various styles, from Kaisho to Gyosho, and Kana.
  The nibs have a smooth ink flow, making it easy to create thick and thin lines in penmanship works. They also have low resistance on paper, making them easy for beginners to use.

About the Nib Manufacturer:
  Lion, famous for office equipment, used to produce these nibs, but they are no longer manufactured.
  Production and sales of these nibs ceased over 20 years ago in 1996 (Heisei 8).
  Currently, the Japanese nib brands available are Tachikawa, Nikko, and Zebra.
  Nikko's brand has been inherited by Tachikawa, so only Tachikawa and Zebra are the current manufacturers.
  These Zebra nibs are a popular brand, also favored by teachers from the Japan Penmanship Study Association.

There are claims that older items have better performance:
  Around the peak growth period of Showa 60 (around 1985), the production of dip pens was astronomical, at 1 million gross (1 gross = 144 pieces).
  The nibs were crafted by skilled artisans using specialized machinery, and it is said that the same manufacturing machines are still in use today.

It is said that there are fewer artisans now, and the skills of the artisans from the past were higher.

Furthermore, regarding chrome-plated nibs:
  They have minimal deterioration and are said to retain their original performance even today.
