This is a usotsuki eri (fake collar) made from sarashi (unbleached cotton fabric) (✪∀✪)!
Wear it under a single-layer kimono or yukata to create a beautifully deep and elegant neckline.
The shoulder opening is cut deeply and rounded to achieve this.
By sewing on a half-collar and inserting a collar stiffener, you can achieve a perfect kimono look even with a yukata.
Although it's a half-juban (under-kimono shirt), it doesn't have side seams, making it especially recommended for those who prefer to wear their collars at a wider angle.
As you can see in photo 7, I personally wear it with a very wide angle, and by using this collar and securing it with a datejime (sash), I can wear it comfortably all day without it coming undone ⸜(*ˊᵕˋ*)⸝
Being a bit lazy, I wash it with the half-collar attached, put it in a laundry net, and machine wash it. I then iron it while it's still damp and let it dry before wearing.
I rotate about three of them for washing.
It's intentionally made simply, with just one piece of sarashi and a collar. This makes it an excellent item for staying cool and comfortable during the hot season.
Each one is measured, cut, and hand-sewn stitch by stitch.

As shown in photo 8, using a Korin belt for temporary fastening is the easiest way.
Once you get used to it, you can simply tie the datejime first, then pull the back panel and adjust it quickly to wear it.
Also, some customers have mentioned that they fix it by folding the edge of the body onto their bra straps.
I tried it, and it really works!
It stays put without shifting, making for a comfortable day★
Photos 7 and 8 are reference images when a half-collar is sewn on. The half-collar is not included.
As it is hand-sewn, there may be slight imperfections.
Also, the blue pen marks can be easily removed with water. Please forgive me if any marks are missed.
The sarashi is new, but due to its nature, there may be weaving imperfections.
I am not a professional kimono tailor, and my sewing skills are limited to yukata.
Therefore, it is far from perfect. However, I sew each stitch as carefully and wholeheartedly as possible.
The stitches are as shown in the photos.
