↓↓From the official description:
Kastehelmi means dewdrop in Finnish. It was designed inspired by the morning dew that sparkles like a string of pearls when bathed in the morning sun. Designed by Oiva Toikka in 1964 and renewed in 2010.
The decoration resembling a string of glass dewdrops was initially an idea to hide the joints left over from the manufacturing process, but Toikka liked it so much that it was applied all over. As a result, this design highlights the beauty of sparkling glass.
